ANASTASIA SIMONIN & KAZUO YAGI MARSDEN: STICK STUCK STUCK

Prima presents Stick Stuck Stuck, the first Paris solo exhibition by Anastasia Simonin and Kazuo Yagi Marsden. Based in Marseille, the duo works primarily in wood, combined with other materials, developing sculptures where anatomical motifs, domestic objects and the living world echo one another.

For this new exhibition, Anastasia Simonin and Kazuo Yagi Marsden take the kitchen sink strainer as a starting point — what, after a meal, gets caught before disappearing. From this image emerges a reflection on what sticks, what stays, what is no longer quite in its place: a soft, suspended atmosphere, touched with humor and nostalgia.
