HELENA MINGINOWICZ

8 October - 14 November 2026
Overview

The gallery is pleased to present Helena Minginowicz's second solo exhibition, continuing her exploration of the boundaries between perception and reality. In this new body of work, the artist examines the moment when seeing the world more clearly can also mean feeling excluded from it — a territory shaped by the writings of Swift, Plath, and Cortázar, where her works move between grace and distress, balance and disintegration. The exhibition also marks a first in France: the presentation of her delicate works on absorbent paper, an unseen body of work in which the fragility of the material echoes that of the human condition.

A graduate of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, where she lives and works, Helena Minginowicz was a finalist for the Bielska Jesień competition in 2023. Her practice, carried out through an airbrushing technique marked by fluid transitions and precise contours, combines ephemeral materials — paper napkins, plastic bags, beauty masks — with more lasting supports such as canvas. This tension between fragility and permanence runs through her entire body of work, which transforms everyday objects into sources of emotion, revealing overlooked beauty and the quiet narratives of daily life.
